Hi, it’s black Amy again. I’m glad you replied to my post with your opinion. Overall, I believe that you missed the point of my post. Your comments were “blown out of proportion” due to the fact you insulted so many people. I spoke on behalf of the fandom because I had quite a few people tell me that they didn’t like what you were saying but they did not want to get involved. The only thing I organized was having my friends send me their responses so that it would show up as one giant post.  You haven’t been civil so far, which is why I responded with additional uncivility. Your comments gained negative notoriety because you offended people.

I have a couple of bullet points for you as well:

a) Cosplay IS fandom. You can’t separate the two by claiming your picture was just a halloween costume. It makes you sound like you’re ashamed of those who are outwardly nerdy. You might have intended for your post to be sarcastic, but instead it offended many people. Stating your intent doesn’t magically erase hurt feelings.

b) Disingenuously complimenting one Amy, River & Eleven, a Master, and a Rory from my pics while neglecting to compliment my Amy costume, 3 other Amy’s, and another Eleven from my photos proves that you’re still trying to rank us and therefore have missed the point yet again. You’re still indirectly judging fellow fans of the show.

c) If you were trying to question the mods of the official Doctor Who Tumblr for posting cosplay/other fan made works instead of news about the show, you did it in the worst way possible. You should have contacted them directly through their ask box/email, not reblog one of their posts.

d) You started with the personal insults by questioning my friend’s parenting abilities.

In conclusion, you have a lot to learn about fandom etiquette.
